New Features

Smart Client Plugin Enhancements

  • Native view–based, stream-level failover is now handled directly within standard XProtect Smart Client views.

  • The RMF plugin no longer needs to be added to individual Smart Client views; it now runs in the background, significantly simplifying setup and maintenance.

  • Stream-level failover is handled natively within Smart Client views.

  • In existing deployments, RMF Smart Client plugin views are automatically replaced with native views.

  • Failback behavior remains unchanged and is still supported.

  • Full native XProtect Smart Client view functionality is now available. For example, limitations from previous releases—such as the lack of AUX button support in RMF views—are removed.

Smart Sync Service

Synchronization Behavior

  • Removed switch-time configuration; switch time is now fixed at 5 seconds.

  • Removed native-to-RMF view synchronization.

  • Added a configuration option to enable or disable instantaneous synchronization.

  • Devices (Camera, Microphone, Metadata, Speaker, Input, Output) are added to sync groups only when enabled.

Reliability & Validation Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where stream synchronization could fail during device add operations.

  • Improved validation feedback: the system now displays the exact property that failed to sync, along with the associated validation exception.

  • Added support for synchronizing Fisheye lens settings.

  • Removed automatically created _R and _RMF view groups previously generated by Smart Sync Service.

Configuration Enhancements

  • Added support for configurable view conversion:

    • RMFToNative

    • NativeToRMF

    • NativeToRMFNew

  • Added support for bookmark synchronization, ensuring consistent bookmarks across systems.

Provides round-robin rotation of cameras within each carousel window, enabling democratic, stream-level failover per view. This allows operators to monitor significantly more cameras than available tiles in a single view, while maintaining stream-level failover for every carousel window and every camera.

Configuration & Controls

  • Select cameras or camera groups for the carousel.

  • Configure a default carousel duration.

  • Set individual display durations per camera.

  • Remove cameras from the carousel.

  • Reorder cameras to customize the viewing sequence.

  • PTZ and digital zoom support.

  • Toolbar controls for Next, Previous, Play, and Pause.

Visual Indicators

  • Green border – streaming from the primary server.

  • Red border – streaming from the secondary server.

Known Issues

  • 'Instantaneous Replace camera' is not working in the manual mode.

  • For more details, refer to Known Issues.
