Apply Licenses Before First Use

Step 1: Apply the Base License to the destination

1. Provide the destination server's Milestone XProtect SLC to Vega Systems.

2. Wait until the license is activated and you receive confirmation.

3. Then, refresh licenses, online or offline, in the Milestone XProtect Management Server.

Step 2: Apply Recorder Licenses

XPort requires recorder licenses per source recorder, in addition to the base license. Follow the steps below.

Find Recorder IDs

1. Launch the Milestone XProtect Management Client application.

1. Navigate to Servers → Recording Servers.

1. Hold the Ctrl key and click on the required recording server.

1. Find the recorder ID in the properties window.

1. Repeat for recorders that need to be moved over.

Provide IDs to Vega Systems

Share the Recorder IDs with Vega and wait for the license file to be generated and sent to you.

Apply Recorder Licenses

• • Once the XPort license file is received(xport.lic) from Vega.

  • Copy ‘xport.lic’ to the application folder %ProgramFiles%\Milestone\MIPPlugins\XPort\XPort on the XPort installed machine - or your OEM path, if using an OEM deployment.
