What to Install Where

Based on the architecture, this section provides a road map for determining which RMF components must be installed on which machines.

Prerequisites

Before installing RMF components, ensure that each machine has the following software pre-installed:

  • .NET Framework 4.8

Additionally, the machines that will host the RMF service components must have:

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 or higher version

  • Milestone Management Client Software

  • If your Primary and Secondary recorders are part of a single Milestone deployment with a single database - go to the Single Site section.

  • If your Primary recorders are part of a Parent Milestone site, and the Secondary recorders are part of a Child site - go to the Federated section.

  • If your Primary recorders are part of one Milestone deployment, and the Secondary recorders are part of a separate, independent Milestone deployment - go to the Independent section.
