About

Configure the time the RMF Smart Client view will wait after losing video from one data center before initiating a connection to another. This setting defines a delay period after video loss from the current recording data center before the Smart Client attempts to connect to an alternate recorder. In high-quality networks, you can set the switching time very low to achieve sub-second stream-level failover.

Key Benefits

  • For faster networks, reduce the switching time to enable quicker transitions.

  • For slower networks, increase the switching time to prevent unnecessary switching.
