Associate Source storage profiles to destination storage profiles

Devices on the source recorder use storage profiles, and the destination recorder has its own set. Before you migrate, map every source profile to its counterpart on the destination. The steps below walk you through that mapping—and let you adjust or replace profiles in the same pass.

Associate Storage Profiles

  1. Step 1

    1. The table in Step 1 lists all unique source and destination recorder pairs set up by the user for the chosen destinations of source devices. Set up a Device Migration Plan

    2. Click on a pair to select it.

  2. Step 2

      1. On the left, it shows source storage profiles for the pair selected in Step 1.

      2. On the right, it displays a drop-down menu with each storage profile available in the destination recorder for the same pair.

      3. For each source profile, select the destination storage profile you want to associate with it.

        1. Clicking on an option provides information about it below the table in Step 2.

      4. If you cannot find a suitable destination profile, create one on the destination recorder and click the refresh button to reload the dropdown list of secondary profiles.

  1. Review each pair carefully and match the source profiles with the destination profiles.
