Changes

• Automatic Synchronization

  • We now support automatic synchronization between data centers. Synchronization no longer requires manual intervention.

• Restore configuration

  • We now support restoring configuration to Primary Data Centers from Secondary data centers.

• Fine-grained feature

  • We’ve introduced fine-grained feature selection support for synchronization.

• Federated/Non-Federated/Independent Site Support

  • The roles, Camera Password Updater, Site Login, Camera Replicator, and SmartSyncService modules now fully support Federated, Non-Federated, and Independent site structures.

• Enhanced Login Capabilities

  • We’ve added a new option to save login credentials in Roles, Camera Password Updater, SiteLogin, and Camera Replicator for improved user experience.

• Roles

  • We now Synchronize roles between Primary and Secondary, and vice versa, based on the configured direction in RMF.

• Camera Replicator

  • Inconsistency Handling

    • In-depth device configuration and inconsistency checking (HW/Camera/Mic/Speaker/Output/Input/Metadata).

    • Allows manual inconsistency selection for synchronization.

  • Service Coordination: Stops SmartSyncService if running to prioritize manual replication.

  • Legacy Features: Replicate Devices, Find & Fix Inconsistencies, Stream Selection, and Manual Mode Camera Selection are now separated for improved organization.

• RMFAlarm

  • We’ve moved the Custom Events node under RMFAlarm for better organization.

  • There is a new option to enable advanced logging without requiring a service restart.

• Configurator

  • We’ve incorporated UI enhancements for a more intuitive user experience.

  • Comprehensive Settings Options.

    • We now support Federated, Non-Federated, and Independent architecture configurations.

    • Server & Storage Linking: Server labeling and storage linking are available for paired servers.

    • Device Management: Enable or turn on/off Add/Replace/Move/Delete device actions.

    • Scheduling & Service Management: Option to schedule or turn services on/off.

    • Backup & Restore Modes: Backup is default (Primary to Secondary); users can toggle modes.

    • Licensing: Option to handle auto-licensing and license removal for selected devices.

    • Synchronization Options: Choose configuration syncing for HW/Camera/Mic/Speaker/Output/Input/Metadata/Roles/Group/Views.

    • We now automatically synchronize Native views to RMF views and native views from one site to another.

    • Users can select or deselect views to sync and optimize visual configuration management.

  • Dashboard

    • Real-Time Status & Control:

      • Displays replication stages and progress percentage with indicator LEDs

      • Shows the next scheduled run time and last run duration.

      • Allows manual start ("Run Now") or stop options.

    • Operations Overview:

      • Detailed view of pass/fail/partial results for all operations with clickable insights

      • Quick access to the log folder from the UI

  • Workflows

    • Legacy Feature Integration:

      • Replicate Devices, Find & Fix Inconsistencies, Role

      • Synchronization and Stream Selection are available as legacy workflows.

      • We’ve now organized legacy RMF options into distinct workflows.

• SmartSyncService- Auto Replication Service

  • Manages auto-replication of configured settings

  • Supports Federated, Non-Federated, and Independent logins

  • Advanced Logging Options: Restart service with detailed logging and log clearing options (Today, Past Day, All).

  • Regular or manual scheduling based on user settings

  • Continuously updates the running status if processing.

Known Issues and Workarounds

• View Groups are not deleted upon role deletion. Multiple view groups with the same name are present. Refer to the section: Multiple view groups, add/delete repeat with the same role name
• RoleReplicator: Limitation in synchronizing the Access Control settings in the Overall Security Tab. Refer to the section: Roles missing AccessControl namespace ConfigAPI
• CameraReplicator: If the PTZ mode changes from absolute to relative, an inconsistency in the Hardware Settings tab will be flagged. Refer to the section: DeviceDriverSettingsChildItem.PTZChildItem
• CameraReplicator: Issue in adding/replicating Bosch Videojet Multi 4000 encoder. Refer to the section: Bosch VIDEOJET multi 4000
• CameraReplicator: Fisheye Lens settings under the Camera Settings Tab cannot be replicated due to a lack of API support. Refer to the section: Fisheye Lens setting in Configapi
• SmartClient: Exception when the Parent SQL is down. Refer to the section: GetItemConfigurations exception
• SmartClient: The playback timeline is not visible in the Bookmark Viewer. Refer to the section: Video Sequence not showing on the Timeline for 2023R2
