Facilitates the manual synchronization of roles and camera access rights between the primary and secondary data centers.

Supported Modes

• Backup Mode: It detects inconsistencies and synchronizes them from the primary data center to the secondary data center. To enable the backup mode, refer to Backup Mode | Vega Systems Inc - RMF Docs.

• Restore Mode: It detects inconsistencies and synchronizes them from the secondary data center to the primary data center. To enable the restore mode, refer to Restore Mode | Vega Systems Inc - RMF Docs

• Allow users to select specific roles and cameras for synchronization.

• Ensures access rights remain consistent across data centers.

Role synchronization is often the slowest part of the process because there is no API/SDK call that retrieves information for each (role, camera) pair. Use this tool only when synchronizing a very small number of cameras and roles. Otherwise, rely on the service to handle role synchronization in the background. The Milestone API team is working on this to add calls in the API, as of Sept 2025.
